Sumida Fireworks 2016

You know it’s summer in Japan when there are fireworks almost every weekend. Last week it was the Adachi Fireworks, and this week, it’s the Sumida Fireworks. The good thing about Sumida is the fireworks are very close to the Tokyo Sky Tree. Here are some pics.

Test shot getting ready for the fireworks later in the evening. Skies are clear so this is going to be good.

The fireworks started at around 7PM when the skies were still dark blue. I actually prefer this background shade.

This communications tower in the foreground is blocking the view but still not bad.

Tokyo Sky Tree is so tall it’s taller than the fireworks.

After the fireworks, Tokyo is covered with firework smoke.
