For tennis enthusiasts in Japan, Gaora is the channel for you!

As I write this entry, they are playing a rerun of the Sampras-Federer Macau Exhibition 2007. This was the third of a series of exhibition games in Asia and too bad I already know the outcome — Sampras will win this one.

Here is a schedule of tennis-related shows they have. My problem with Gaora is they don’t seem to have deals with the really big tournaments. For example, Wowow owns the rights to the Australian Open. I don’t know yet who owns Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.

I guess I’ll find out soon enough.

Another complaint — the ATP Tennis Show, which they show on a regular weekly basis, is not really up to date. Just today, they were featuring a preview of the Australian Open 2008 when that tournament is already finished a few weeks back.
