Calling Philippine Mobiles from Japan

After doing some simple research, I’ve discovered Skype offers the cheapest way to call Philippine Mobiles from Japan at 33 yen/min. If you know of alternatives, do let me know. Right now, I use Skype when I’m home and Softbank otherwise.

Tokyo Motor/Girls Show

The Tokyo Motor Show starts tomorrow and will end on the 11th of November. Expect to see lots of geeky young men with their humongous DSLR cameras taking pictures of the girls err cars on display.

Currency Crazy

Former Philippine president found guilty of plunder. My friend’s initial question – How did the peso react? Japan prime minister resigns. My initial question – How did the yen react? Currency crazy.

One Year in Tokyo

Woohoo! Since I am currently on a list-writing spree… here is a list of things I remember about my first year in Tokyo, in no particular order. Not a bad year after all.

Big Problem

This problem has been bothering me since this afternoon and I might not be able to sleep because of this. I can’t find the English word for “makunat”!

A stranger comes to me, showing me his badge. Asks me where I’m going. Roppongi. Asks me what I’m doing there. Work. Asks me for my passport. Alien Registration Card. Thank you. Weird.

Amazing Kagoshima

Flying Back To Kagoshima

I’m flying back to Kagoshima. Not for good though. I’ll just be there for four days. I already have my plane and hotel reservations. The only thing left for me to do is to get the necessary days off from work and maybe get some Tokyo omiyage for my Kagoshima friends. I miss those people.
